1. Initial Assessment


Review of doctor’s referral/medical history
Assessment of patient’s physical condition
Evaluation of mobility, strength, balance, and pain
Functional assessment (bed mobility, transfers, walking ability)
Goal setting in consultation with patient/caregiver


2. Treatment Planning


Individualized physiotherapy plan based on condition
Selection of appropriate techniques and exercises
Frequency and duration planning


3. Therapeutic Interventions


Range of Motion (ROM) exercises (active/passive)
Strengthening exercises
Mobility and gait training
Breathing exercises (especially for bedridden/palliative patients)
Postural correction and positioning
Pain relief techniques (manual therapy, relaxation techniques)


4. Bedside & Functional Training


Bed mobility training
Transfer training (bed to chair, chair to bed)
Fall prevention strategies
Assistance with ambulation (if applicable)


5. Supportive Care


Prevention of complications (bed sores, stiffness, contractures)
Chest physiotherapy (if required)
Circulatory exercises to improve blood flow


6. Monitoring & Reassessment


Continuous monitoring of patient response
Adjustment of therapy plan as needed
Periodic reassessment and progress tracking


7. Patient/Caregiver Education


Home exercise program guidance
Safe handling and positioning techniques
Advice on mobility aids (walker, wheelchair, etc.)
Prevention of injury and strain
